They’ll be able to send me a record of Phoebe’s birth certificate.” “I’ll call the hospital in Peppercorn Patch straight away and get this sorted out. “I’m sure it’s just a mistake,” Heather tells him. “What does the doctor mean by Phoebe not being our biological child?” Christian Strong asks his wife, Heather Strong, once they step out of the doctor’s office. She tried to reach out to him, but all of her attempts failed. Her father left the family home and that changed everything for her. She was only 10 years old when she was diagnosed with brain cancer. It all began when she was still known as Phoebe Strong. She had been wronged by many people over many years. She has a mission and no one is going to get in the way of it. She throws the bloodied knife to the ground and, ignoring the dying stranger, continues about her business. His breaths become shallow as darkness slowly succumbs him. The knife is lifted in the air and connects with Charles King again. “Don’t you think you can come here and ruin my plans!” “Who are you?” she seethes between gritted teeth. ![]() Melody Walker stands over Charles King, her large bloodied knife raised for another attack. “Melody Walker is out of prison?” Constance asks, bewildered. “Phoebe…I mean, Melody,” Anna-Maree tells them. “Who did this to you?” Joanne asks, as she and Joel begin to untie the bounds. Indeed, she was all of those names to different people. ![]() Inside the next room, bound on a chair with rope, the group can see a relieved looking woman. She pushes down on the handle slowly and the door latch releases the door slowly opening. They all strain to listen to what Joanne can hear. The group watches on as Joanne moves herself slowly to an internal door. “I couldn’t leave him at home by himself,” Constance explains. Drake Harp looks up sheepishly from his iPad. “And why have you brought him along?” Akemi points to the young boy standing next to Constance. “She didn’t send the invites apparently,” Akemi Helling says. “I’m assuming you received an invitation from me too?” “Found the light switch,” Joel Prasad informs the group. The overhead fluorescent lights flicker on and everyone shields their eyes with their hands. The room is suddenly awash with bright light. “Joanne?” Constance Helling calls out into the darkness. She raises it so that his eyes meet hers. “I walked past her, but I couldn’t bring myself to talk to her.”Ĭathy Gilmore walks over to her friend and places a gentle hand under his chin. “Have you seen her yet?” Cathy Gilmore asks Richard Evans.
